Prodigy Entertainment's first film begins this summer.
While still funding our more main-streamed supernatural thriller, The Board, we are embarking on a
high-concept, gore-hound pleasing, nightmare-inducing, hard-core horror experience destined for cult status,
which we have humbly entitled
Brain Dead.

The story of six people caught in the unusual (except in horror films) predicament of being stranded in a
deserted fishing lodge with a host of alien-infected, mutant amoeba-controlled zombies at their doorstep.
Scary? Hell yes! Funny? You bet. Gory? To the Nth.

This is a family affair, and we are drawing on all of the talented people we have worked with in the past. Ed
Santiago, owner of Los Angeles based Digital Cut Post, is supplying a post-production editing suite and two
24P digital cameras with steady-cam for production. He will also be one of the disembodied heads found by our
heroes late in the film. Dale Gelineau, the writer of
Brain Dead, has agreed to have his cranium peeled like an
orange in the first scene while producer Dennis Michael Tenney has volunteered to play the character of
Undead Bill, which entails full prosthetic make up on a one month shoot on the Sacramento delta in the middle
of summer. Hence the title. Gabe Bartalos
(Darkman, Leprechaun, Dark Angel, The Cave) and his crew at
Atlantic West Effects have agreed to create the cutting-edge make up and gore effects, and co-producer
Dan Duncan, Kevin Tenney's favorite editor, will be cutting Brain Dead. He, too, is found late in the film from the
clavicles up. Other volunteers include producer Greg McKay, film-maker Greg Lewolt, and the aforementioned
Gabe Bartalos (This is everyone who will be in
Brain Dead but who is not being treated with the due respect
we save for "real" actors). Return to this page often, since this site will grow and change as we move forward.
